Who Is Lila Smith?
As police said, Lila, is now in Oregon hospital for examination of any injury but as said she said she is all right and is longing for her parents to arrive. Oregon man who is said to be 41 years old, lured Lila from her house and transferred her to the US. Edmonton police inspector, MR. Brent Dahleside said that the man is charged with child luring and will be facing additional charges for crossing the border between Canada and US. As per Brent, the man crossed the border to meet Lila, but it is still unknown how come the man crossed the borders without any restrictions. And above all the man crossed the border yet again when he returned back to his home along with Lila in Oregon without anyone noticing. It is still unclear how Lila crossed the border with the 41-year-old man and how come the two people with so much age difference came in contact with each other and how did they meet despite the border differences.

Landis Reichle the EPS Spokesperson said that the two might have come in contact through online communication, but as said the Canadian police have no interaction with the culprit and the victim as well, so there is no declaration about the case. Lila’s last location was known was near the Killarney Junior High school which was said to be in the north of Downtown Edmonton. The child went missing around 8:30 am on the 24th of June, when she was out for school. When her parents found out that she was not reachable and was not there at the school as well as she did not even attend the school when she went missing, her parents contacted the police and thus investigations began. After investigating for over a week, Lila was unexpectedly found in the US, which was shocking for the police and the parents as well.

It is still not known if the child went with the old man of her own will or was she abducted. While police were investigating for Lila they did not give out an AMBER alert which is in general generated to see if there is any case of abduction, as they did not find anyone or anything that could point to the girl being with someone. Apart from that the police gave out photos of Lila in the media, and in the public as well to get any leads about the missing child. While speaking about Lila’s parents, they said that Lila is in Oregon hospital and they are on their way to Portland, Oregon. They said that they can’t wait to see their daughter, although they are in shock about the child found across the borders. Despite that, the parents of Lila said that they are happy that their daughter is alive and in good health condition.
